What is Open Book?

Open Book Houston was created from a simple but powerful belief — that success should be shared.

 

In an industry built on competition, Open Book was born to foster collaboration. What began as a single event has grown into a community movement — uniting real estate professionals, lenders, entrepreneurs, and leaders across Houston and beyond.

 

The inspiration for Open Book Houston traces back to Carlos German, Founder and CEO of Carlos German & Team Real Estate Advisors. After attending an event in Florida where Mr. German spoke about the concept of being an “Open Book” — sharing knowledge and experiences to empower others — Christopher brought the idea to Houston. With Mr. German’s blessing, Christopher and Maria expanded on the vision to create a platform dedicated to openness, learning, and collaboration within the local real estate community.

 

Our vision is to create a space where knowledge flows freely — where new agents can learn from seasoned professionals, where business owners can exchange proven systems, and where every conversation moves us closer to collective growth.

 

This isn’t a motivational pep talk or high-level theory: speakers give transparent, actionable playbooks (the good, the bad, and the not-so-pretty) so agents, team leaders, and brokers can leave with a step-by-step plan to improve listings, lead conversion, recruiting, and operations.
